Today, a number of local doctors surgeries sent out the following emails to those vulnerable and those caring for the elderly and vulnerable

Following on from yesterday’s overview of the COVID vaccination programme at Poole Ferry Port, we have received the following update:

We will continue to update our advice however we can confirm that we are currently inviting patients aged between 75 and 79 (Priority Group 3). Due to uncertainty over vaccine deliveries we are not currently able to book appointments for Priority Group 4: the 70-74 age group and the Clinically Extremely Vulnerable (i.e. patients who are ‘shielding’). We will advise when this situation changes. Please refer to the JCVI Vaccine Priority Groups as listed on the Practice website.

Perhaps our local MP Robert Syms and the other local MP’s may find some time in their ‘busy’ schedule to lobby Parliament about this atrocious dereliction of responsibility to the elderly, sick, carers and vulnerably infirm residents of BCP Council area and wider areas in Dorset?

In the meantime we will ask those MP’s for their immediate support for their constituents

We will post their replies if they give a reply, to show how supportive and concerned they are
